TARRIF RULES
  • Check in time – AFTER 2pm – should your arrival time be after 6pm, contact must be made with Sandy Bay to make alternative arrangements for after hours check-in. No campers will be allowed to check in after 6pm.
  • Please Note*
    A $200.00 Bond applies to all bookings at time of check-in. in for all chalets, this can be paid by using Visa, Mastercard or cash.
  • Prices are based on the first two people staying, any extra people (including children over one years old) will need to pay $10 per person per night.
  • Payment in full, on arrival in CASH, EFTPOS & CREDIT CARDS (Mastercard & Visa) only.
  • Linen is included in the daily rate. This includes duvets, sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, face cloth and a hand towel). Please advise any special bedding requirements.
  • PARENTS:  Please bring plastic materess protectors if required, otherwise the cost of cleaning will be deducted off the Bond.
  •  A free service clean is done on bookings that are 8 days or longer in duration.If guests want an extra change of sheets or towels during their stay, please request this at the office.  There will be a charge of $16 per queen/double and $11 per single bed.
  • Quiet time is strictly 10pm – 730am daily
  • Departure time – BY 10am
  • Helmets must be worn when riding bicycles, rip sticks, scooters etc on Sandy Bay property.
  • No Pets are allowed to stay in the chalets, only in the camping grounds excluding school holidays, public holidays and long weekends.
     

All chalets and surrounding areas, the ablution block, barbeque and picnic tables are NON-SMOKING areas.

No pets are allowed during public holidays & school holidays.  Pets are welcome out of these periods, but require prior arrangment with management.

 SECURITY BOND

A credit card pre authorisation is required at check-in. This authorisation will be held until after you have departed. If you cannot produce a credit card a $200 cash bond will be acceptable. Slight delays may occur on departure whilst your chalet is inspected. In the case of damage, loss or excessive cleaning, you will have signed in acknowledgement to recover this cost from your credit card or cash to cover the expenses.

CONDITIONS OF THE BOND

To ensure the full recovery of your bond the accommodation is to be left in a reasonable and tidy condition as follows:-

Evidence of smoking both inside and the near vicinity of the chalet;

Dishes, crockery and cutlery to be washed, dried and put away;

Oven and grill to be left clean;

Fridge to be wiped out;

Used beds to be left unmade;

Floors to be clean of rubbish and sand;

No dirty hand/feet marks on windows and walls, and

Any breakages to be reported to the office.

If you would like us to provide an extra cleaning service, please arrange this prior to your departure with the office for an additional fee of $45. 

We will also recover monies from your bond in the event of the following:-

  • All accommodation is strictly non smoking, please also do not smoke in doorways and windows as you will be charged a fumigation fee $100;
  • Any lost or broken keys will incur a $10 fee;
  • Where linen was provided but not used on the bed, the guest will be charged $16 per queen/double and $11 per single bed/bunk due to extra cleaning costs of doona covers and mattress protectors, and Damages to the accommodation.

    DEPOSIT POLICY
    • Deposits are not refundable or transferable unless at least 28 days notice (60 days in peak periods) of the cancellation or variation is received in writing in respect of which a $25-00 cancellation fee is charged.
    • A deposit is required to be paid up within 10 days of the reservation being made unless otherwise requested.
      If a new booking falls within this period, a deposit is required to be paid at the time of the booking. Bookings will be automatically cancelled if no deposit is received within this time.
    • Off Season and Mid Season bookings require the equivalent of one night accommodation.
    • Peak Season, including Sporting Events, require a 50% deposit of the total accommodation cost.

    CANCELLATION & AMENDMENT POLICY

    • Online Bookings. A cancellation fee of 20% applies to all online bookings that are cancelled before 28 days prior to travel date.
    • Any amendments to a confirmed booking will incur a $25 administration fee.
    • Cancellations made before or up to the 28 day notice period (60 days for all peak periods) will incur a $25.00 cancellation fee, for all bookings other than online bookings.
    • Cancellations made within the 28 day notice period and up to 2 days prior to the date of travel (60 days for all peak periods) incur a loss of the deposit. This includes online bookings.
    • If the booking is cancelled within 48 hours from the date of travel, 50% cancellation fee applies for low and mid season, 100% cancellation fee applies for peak season, long weekends and all sporting events. This includes online bookings.
    • If the bookings is cancelled on, during your stay or after the day of arrival, there is NO refund. This includes online bookings.
    • Cancellations must be made in writing.
    • For your own peace of mind it is recommended that clients consider taking out their own travel insurance.
    • Any refunds done onto your credit card carry a $2.00 administration fee.

    MINIMUM BOOKINGS REQUIRED

    Christmas Holidays – 7 nights stay
    Easter – 4 nights stay
    All Long weekends – 3 nights stay
    Iron Man – 7 nights stay
    Jetty Swim/ ½ Iron Man – 2 nights stay

    CARAVANNERS

    Caravan sites consist of sufficient space for a caravan (largest size 23ft) and annexe.
    Tent sites are located in a level park setting and are large enough for a two room tent and awning.
    All sites have access to power. 
    Maximum 5 adults and 1 child, or total 6 people in the family per site. No extras people are permitted to stay.
    There is also an undercover BBQ with seating, hot water & sink, public phone & playground.
    The park laundry has coin operated washing machines and dryer.
    Ablution block with hot showers, toilets, basins, baby's bath with combination locks.
    Aged Pensioners – 10% Discount – Minimum booking, 1 week.
    Not available during School Holidays and long weekends.
    PEAK SEASON: Christmas & Summer Holidays, Easter long weekends
    MID SEASON: Other than Peak & Off Season March, June & October long weekends
    OFF SEASON: 4th June to 1st September
    Accommodation preferences are not guaranteed until check-in.
    RATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE
